Summit-FAS uses dual flame ionization detectors (FID) for total gas and C1-C5 hydrocarbon analysis. Worldwide, FID is considered the most reliable, verifiable, and accurate gas detection technique. FID chromatographic data produces accurate analysis of C1-C5 hydrocarbons that can then generate accurate gas ratio data useful in show evaluation, regional comparison studies, and identification of prime producing zones. Our Gas Chromatographs can analyze C1-C5 hydrocarbons in less than 1-minute run-time with all GC data collected and processed using ChromPerfect™ integration software. This software processes and stores raw and calculated data for each chromatogram and sends final calculated data into our Prolog™ real-time mudlogging software.
We use Leica EZ4 stereo-zoom microscopes with built-in 5 mega-pixel cameras for sample examination and capture of sample images which are added to our vertical and horizontal mud logs and emailed to clients to illustrate lithology. Oil fluorescence is determined by visual examination using a long-wave UV fluoroscope. Solvent cut is determined and described under UV light using petroleum ether as the solvent.
Our Prolog™ real-time logging software is WITS compatible and captures EDR data (ROP, WOB, RPM, on/off bottom and on/off pump events), total gas, C1-C5 hydrocarbons, and calculated gas ratios. Prolog™ LAS data is imported into Wellsight Systems™ mudlog presentation software to produce vertical and horizontal mud logs. The Wellsight log formats can be customized to each client’s preference.
