Summit-FAS provides one or two-man Geosteering Service depending on client’s need and complexity of the play. We can also provide two-man Geosteering / Mudlogging combination service for more routine wells. Our experience in Geosteering coupled with timely communication with client and directional drillers can help keep the wellbore in zone and on target. Our Geosteerers are degreed geoscientists experienced with local and regional geology, marine and lacustrine depositional environments, target formations, members, and zones of interest. We are experienced with conventional LWD gamma ray, density, and resistivity tools and the newer azimuthal LWD resistivity techniques. We incorporate LWD data and regional/local seismic data (when available) into the well plan using Geosteering software and custom Excel spreadsheets to track wellbore progress and produce cross-section interpretations to aid in setting targets.
Summit-FAS makes use of mudlog data to track and confirm lithology and uses the Gas Chromatograph/Flame Ionization Detector C1-C5 hydrocarbon analysis for show evaluation aided by real-time gas ratio calculation. The Geosteering and Mudlogging tools serve to evaluate well bore location and adjust targets to stay in zone. Our standard Wellsight vertical and horizontal mudlog formats include drilling parameters such as ROP, WOB, photographs, LWD curves, along with percentage and interpretive lithology, descriptions, Total Gas, C1-C5 hydrocarbons, mud weight in/out, survey data, and a full suite of gas ratio data. The mudlogs are easily customizable to include any number of available parameters and can be formatted in any column order and page widths up to 14″.
